Understanding the Internship Stipend Option: This is an interesting and unusual feature in the RCMC offer letter. If you deposit an additional $2,000 at the time of admission, you become eligible to receive a monthly stipend of $170 during your 12-month mandatory internship — totalling $2,040 paid back to you over the internship year. This effectively means you get back slightly more than you put in ($2,040 vs $2,000), and it functions as a forced-savings mechanism that also gives you a small monthly income while doing your internship. This is optional — you can choose not to deposit the $2,000, in which case no stipend is paid.
Seat Booking Fee is Non-Refundable: The official offer letter states clearly: “Seat Booking fee will not be refunded or adjusted with other student in case of seat/admission cancellation.” The $8,000 seat booking fee is permanently forfeited if you cancel your admission. Be certain before making this payment, and ensure your DGHS Equivalence Certificate process is underway, since the offer letter notes that final admission confirmation depends on receiving the Equivalence Certificate issued by DGHS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Bangladesh.
